Candied Bacon Weenies

Well slap my wrists, I gosh darn didn’t post the recipe for these suckers I made for Super Bowl weekend. Well really there isn’t a recipe but a couple wee simple little steps.

I didn’t think these were jaw dropping but a few of the dudes at the Super Bowl sure did, and told me several times. So I suggest you make them. I mean we do have a few sports championships to go through yet this year.

Ingredients:

mini sausages (cut in half)

bacon (cut in 4 sections)

brown sugar

You basically just fit the bacon to the so-sage cut in half.

You’ll want to secure it with a toothpick. Place all the wrapped weenies (ha) on a baking sheet lined with tin foil (there will be a lot of excess fat you’ll want to ditch with the foil).

Next sprinkle some brown sugar sparingly over the entire pan. Make sure each little weenie has some on it. Bake at 350 for 30 ish minutes until they are nice and crispy!
